So I was at my local Michael’s arts and crafts last fall and they had these awesome rustic galvanized steel words. I happened to pick up one that said family, I just liked how it looked. So I ended up going to my local Habitat for Humanity, and found a piece of wood that work perfect for the size and I mounted the metal word to the slab of wood. It just took a few screws, a few washers and some framing hooks on the back and I was done in 30 minutes. For something that was pre-made and at 80%off because it was at the end of the season it was worth it. The wood was an old piece of pine I just stained, that was maybe 75¢ and I had the screws and washers. Let me know what you think.

So back around November, I was working on a Christmas gift for a friend and I knew she was a big minion fan and steampunk. So I combined them and formed a piece of art our of recycle material all from Habitat for Humanity. It pretty much cost about $7 dollars in total to make this little night light guy and she just loved him. I did buy the light from my local JoAnn fabrics, because they randomly have lights and cords, which is what I needed for my project. It took me about 4 days to put it together because I had a lot of planning and laying it out as I went, as well as trying to figure out how to make things work together. Well once I was done it was wrapped up and she just loved it. I hope you liked looking at Sir Rusty Roosterson (He had a rooster on the front like a belt).
